Single Girl Child Scholarship for Class 10 begins, know eligibility

The Central Board of Secondary Education, CBSE has now started Single Girl Child Scholarship. Candidates who have passed CBSE Class 10 examination and are the only child of the family can apply for the girl students scholarship at cbse.gov.in.

Eligibility Criteria

The single girl child passed class X from a school affiliated to CBSE and did her education in class XI and XII in schools affiliated to CBSE.

Those girl students who are the only child of their parents and who have secured 60% or more marks (in first five subjects) in class X are eligible for award of scholarship.

Monthly tuition fee should not exceed Rs 1500 pm in Class X and 10% enhancement for Class XI & XII.

The scholarship awarded will be renewed for a period of one year i.e. successful completion of class XI and student has secured 50% or more marks in class XI and promoted to class XII.

The scholarship will be awarded to Indian citizens only. 6. NRI applicants of the Board are also eligible for the award. The tuition fee for NRIs has been fixed at a maximum of Rs 6000 per month.

Candidates are advised to register for the scholarship latest by November 14, 2022 as it is the last date. Once registered, fill in the forms and submit.

1. Go to the official website – cbse.gov.in
2. Then click on Apply Online link beside the scholarship notice
3. Register yourself and then login and fill out the form
4. Once filled, submit the form
5. Download and keep a copy
