Submit the GATE Registration form 2024 before 29 September

GATE 2024 (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) exam registration will be going to end on September 29. However, the registration process with a late fee will close on October 13, 2023. Interested candidates must submit their application form as soon as they can. The GATE 2024 exam will be conducted on February 3, 4, 10, and 11 for admission into the MTech program at IITs for 30 courses.  This year GATE 2024 exam will be going to conducted by IISc Bangalore. To appear in this exam, candidates must meet with required eligibility criteria. If you are a Graduate or final-year student, you are eligible to fill out the application form. This year, 2 new papers have been added, which are Data Science and AI. The fee to submit the application form is also increased to 1800 INR, which was 1700 INR earlier.

Marking Scheme Questions carry 1 mark and 2 marks
Negative Marking For a wrong answer chosen in a MCQ, there will be negative marking. For 1-mark MCQ, 1/3 mark will be deducted for a wrong answer. Likewise, For 2-mark MCQ, 2/3 mark will be deducted for a wrong answer. No negative marking for MSQ or NAT questions.

GATE 2024 last 4 months preparation plan you can follow 

 As you know, only 4 months are left for the exam, so it’s time to buckle up all your energy and go hard. Here, we have curated a list of strategies a candidate can follow to achieve success. 

  Month 1: October 2023 ·

  • Adhere to your study plan.
There is a huge difference between crafting a study plan and adhering to it regularly. Create a routine that harmonizes your daily routine & consider the realistic timelines for every subject. Solve a dedicated amount of last year's GATE question papers and mock test papers. Immersing yourself in online mock test papers will make you acquainted with the real-time exam experience.
  • Enroll in the last-minute GATE programs.
Consider enrolling in the specialized last-minute GATE preparation programs. Such programs offer huge guidance and assistance to the candidates. Joining this type of program helps you to hone the last month's skills and streamlines your preparation strategy. 

  Month 2: November 2023

  • Give priority to your weak area

If you are doing your master's, you have to allocate your time accordingly. Investigate multiple programs and anticipated interview questions.
  • Do regular practice
Consistent practice makes a student ready for success. Solve as many questions as you can to make yourself ready. At a certain point, you will feel self-assured regarding your performance. Keep practicing until you are self-assured.
  • Review the notes
At this time, ignore to start any new topics and initiate revision. Review your notes and study resources. Go through all the topics which you have already covered before. Solidify your comprehension and confidence. 

  Month 3: December 2023
